The Ranthambhore National Park, is well known for diurnal activities of its Royal bengal Tigers. To see the Tigers in the wild, one has to book their trip to the Park approximates. 60-75 days in advance. There are only two option to visit the Park; one by Open Gypsy and second by Open Safari Bus known as Canter. Other than the Tigers there are Leopards, Jungle Cats, Caracals, Wild Dog, Hyenas, Jackals,Sloth Bears, Wild boars, Langoors, Mongoose, Sambar, Spotted Deers, Nilgai, Chinkara, Crocodiles and around 270 species of birds

The wide spectrum & rich population of wild life in the open dry deciduous forest of Ranthambhore is a marvel of ecological adaptation & tolerance. The nature rhythm reveals wildlife in its own natural habitat. There are three big artificial lake in the park but full with inhabitants like Crocodiles & Turtles a variety of Birds including migrating Birds

The Tourism Department at Sawai Madhopur will handle all safaris related work at Ranthambhore.THE RATES OF THE SAFARI VEHICLES ARE AS PER FIXED BY THE TOURISM DEPARTMENT IS:-FOR GYPSY Rs.1600/-PER GYPSY PER TRIP +plus+SERVICE CHARGES OF TOURISM Deptt.plus TRAVEL AGENT & TOUR OPERATOR AND 4.80% SERVICE TAX and FOR CANTER(SAFARI BUS) Rs.230/-PER SEAT PER TRIP+plus+SERVICE CHARGES OF TOURISM Deptt.plus TRAVEL AGENT & TOUR OPERATOR AND 4.80% SERVICE TAX for the next session(Oct 2006 to June 2007).The maximum occupancy in a Gypsy is 6 person and in Canter max. 20 person. Please Note that Gypsy less than four tourists would not be allowed to enter into the Park :-During the holidays,like Dashahara,Deepawali,winter vacations,New Year and Holi festival,the Govt. can stop providing the Gypsy to the Tourists and will allow only Canter due to tourist traffic,even you have book your Gypsy wayback in advance and you might find only Canters instead of Gypsy!!!!! THE WHOLE AMOUNT OF SAFARI HAVE TO DEPOSITE AT THE TIME TO BOOK SAFARI VEHICLE IN ADVANCE and IT IS NON-REFUNDABLE

1. The Deptt. of Forest(at Ranthambhore) allows limited number of vehicles at a time of a trip. The Deptt. can reduce the no. of Gypsy just before the Safari and increase the nos. of Canters due to the tourist flow(or no. of tourist)
2.The booking are made 'First Come First Serve' basis, a non refundable advance security is to be deposited at the time of making the booking for the vehicle and person/s.
3. A 75 days advance booking request for Park Safaris and excursions is highly appreciated.
4. For the advance & current booking we need Passport no., Age, Sex and Nationality for the foreign tourist and for Indian tourist their Address proof, Age and Sex.
